  My overall care at Austin Gastroenterology has been sub-moderate, but this complaint specifically is in regards to Glenn Robinson. After numerous office visits and procedures including; a colonoscopy, endoscopy, and 2 sets of blood and thyroid testing, his only advice was to stop taking the pain medicines that I am prescribed for my very severe back pain. Obviously this was not a realistic option and it baffles me that an actual doctor could possibly believe it to be appropriate to over-rule my back & pain specialist doctors without even contacting them first. In addition to the fact that one's overall state is much more closely tied to immense back pain than to vomiting. After undergoing back surgery I stopped the pain medicines that I was taking, but was still having even more violent vomiting episodes.
  
  After an hour of talking to secondary A.G. staff I was finally connected with Dr. Robinson, who refused to see me any sooner than three week out appointment I already had scheduled. I explained to him that I have not been able to eat in two days because of my instant regurgitation and that each time I vomited my back (that was recently operated on) was sent into enough pain that my tears fell into the same container I was using for my vomiting. He coldly stated that although he was in the office today he did not feel that I warranted his immediate attention (don't forget the part where I have been unable to eat for two days). He then suggested that I meet with his PA in a week. He clearly displayed none of the compassionate, caring, or empathetic tendencies that is expected from any doctor in any field.
