Our oldest son injured one of his eyes this past Sunday. We followed his ER doctors instructions and she recommended we follow-up next day with a referral to Dr. Djafari. We called his office Monday morning and were able to get an appointment that afternoon at his Round Rock office which it was very convenient. Front desk personnel was not friendly but efficient and organized. The nurse/medical assistant that helped us with our son was knowledgeable and caring. This is were our positive experience ended. Dr. Djafari is the most uncaring and rude physician I have met in my life. He came into the exam room shook my hand but he really didn't even introduce himself to me or to my son. He immediately went to apply proparacaine drops to numb my son's eye and when he didn't cooperate he placed the drops on the desk and said "I am not going to torture your son mom, here are the drops if you want to try". Really???!!! Between my husband and the nurse they were able to apply the drops and when Dr. Djafari decided to gracious us with his presence he did a 2 min exam and told us; "it's just an abrasion, he will be fine, if he is not better by Wednesday you can bring him back ". I don't understand how he could had provided a full ocular exam in less than 2 min. Maybe my son's case wasn't very exciting or interesting but he was a scared little boy and in pain and we were there for medical care. This doctor might have extensive/specialized training and certifications but he showed ZERO empathy towards his patient.
